Today I had a nightmare situation with a stakeholder. Someone who wouldn’t listen to reason. It just reminded me that I need to work hard and always put my best foot forward.

Strict.

Be strict.

Lessons learnt

• Always have contracts in place so people cannot dispute something and throw you a their words versus your words situation.
• You can’t negotiate with crazy - fight as soon as possible for a conclusion. Otherwise, you will waste a day.
• Advocate for yourself, if you are right, fight for the truth.
• Try to get the best person to resolve the person in front of you.
• Do not be hard headed and think being right is enough - always push to minimise the cost.
